Awarded The BETA Lifetime Achievement Award 2020
“..for the good of the horse”
This year at the BETA Awards Ceremony, members
of the British Equestrian Trade Association gave a rare standing ovation to BETA Lifetime Achievement Award winner Richard Cleeve. The award honoured Richard’s life which he has dedicated to promote equine health and welfare spanning over three decades.
Richard was praised for his modesty and practice
of always investing funds back into the business and the industry, notably NAF’s research and development in new products and further innovating existing ones.
A strong equestrian and farming upbringing lead
to Richard recognising environmental stresses with
a passion for seeking natural solutions utilising ingredients sourced from all over the world. Working with Dr. Nicholas Larkins, a vet keen to develop
natural products, known as nutraceuticals, over 150 formulations are now available some 30 years later.
Building a strong team around them with five star products serving the local, national and international equine communities. NAF has pioneered some of the most innovative products in Equine Health and Welfare to date. The NAF brand is trusted by riders worldwide and are the only official supplier of supplements
to the British Equestrian Teams, a testament to
Richard’s passion for the horse and raising
equine nutritional awareness.
The award was presented by Jane Holderness- Roddam, President of BETA and on receipt of
the award Richard modestly thanked the people
at NAF crediting them for his success : “it is the Team that makes NAF what
it is today and will continue to do so
for the good of the horse”
