NAF – Nutritional Partners to the BFBA

Welcome to the new NAF Five Star Forge and our nutritional and technical blogs. We are honoured to be working with farriers as Official Nutrition Partners to the BFBA, and we firmly believe that by combining our professional skills, we can work together to ensure quality hooves for all horses and ponies.

Our job is to ensure that you, as Farriers, have good quality hooves to work with, whether that’s our Vets and Nutritionists working on optimal nutrition, or our experienced application Chemists providing the latest in topical treatments. As farriers, you are the experts on the ground, best placed and well trusted by the horse owner. By helping the owner with advice on day-to-day hoof care, you can guard against those late night ‘he’s lost a shoe, can you come tomorrow’ calls! Whether a regularly shod Thoroughbred eventer, or a naturally barefoot native, what we all want – Nutritionist, Chemist, Farrier and Owner – are strong, flexible hooves that stay in good condition from one visit to the next.
